What Makes us Different?
We want to share a little about our mission and WHY we are doing what we are doing as well as what makes our rosaries different than some others. Beautiful rosaries attract us to praying the Rosary! Obtaining or making an elaborate rosary is one way of showing devotion to Our Lady, and it especially shows children that the Rosary is something special. In our opinion, it is beneficial for children to see their parents using not simply a string of beads, but a treasured piece of art that inspires reverence.
When we attend Holy Mass, we wear our best clothes and conduct ourselves in a manner that transcends everyday life. The church is filled with many beautiful symbols and ornaments, such as vestments, incense, candles, etc. When we pray the Rosary, we should likewise bring out our best and show not only others, but ourselves also, that what we are doing in that moment is different: we are asking the Mother of God for help.
To that end, Mystic Rose Rosaries strives to design, craft, and deliver rosaries exceptionally suitable for such a purpose. Our rosaries all fit a uniform style. They are large (roughly 32 inches), handmade, natural gemstone, traditionally chained rosaries. We will now briefly address some of the primary features of our rosary collection.
BEADS & SIZE: The beads on all of our rosaries are 10mm natural gemstones. Natural gemstones have a unique beauty, and the larger bead size makes it easier to admire the Divinely-designed patterns in the stones. Smaller beads don’t accomplish this quite as well, in our opinion, so we choose to use larger stones. The larger size is not an obstacle to comfortable prayer. In fact, some people have shared with us that, after having switched to larger beads, they would never go back.
CONSTRUCTION: Our rosary beads are each individually chained together by hand, with one bead per chain link, versus having multiple beads arranged together on a single wire or cord, which sometimes results in reduced flexibility. We believe that the traditional, chained approach results in a more comfortable experience and also reduces the impact of an unlikely break in the wire.
CUSTOMIZATION: If you look at our website and don’t see a stone you like, reach out, and we can design a rosary together. Our custom rosaries do not cost more for being custom (only if more expensive materials, such as gold, are selected). If you help us design a rosary, you get to help name it.
NAMES: Our named rosaries belong to collections, such as the Loreto Collection, which makes them extra special. We plan to release new rosaries to help celebrate major Feast Days throughout the Church’s Liturgical Year.
GIFT BOXES: Our rosaries come in gift boxes imprinted with our logo and infused with the fresh smell of roses, a very nice touch when opening your rosary box for the first time!
In summary, our goal is to deliver amazing rosaries and, in so doing, honor the Blessed Virgin Mary under her many titles.
