TU ES PETRUS, et super hanc petram aedificabo Ecclesiam Meam.”  “Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I shall build My Church (Matthew 16:18).” 

These words remind us that Christ established a visible head to rule and govern His Church on Earth, to teach and preserve doctrine unstained throughout the ages, and to be the Pastor Pastorum (“Shepherd of Shepherds”), i.e., to lead the Church’s hierarchy in pursuing the salvation of souls.

The rosary comes in a luxurious walnut gift box, padded and upholstered with navy blue velvet.  The top of the box features an engraved metal plate with a cross, “TU ES PETRUS,” as well as “LEO XIV.”
